very cool. that staccato thing is legit. i ask rock singers i know that
perform on the strip (sunset strip) how to get that volume you know, and
they all do that piercing staccato thing loud as f*ck. neighbors called the
cops on my buddy once
i used to ask that question all the time. i did that staccato thing as loud
as possible and i got louder and louder. it works when you push the air
from your belly, and relax the throat/neck. practice on an “e” sound like
he did.

the same thing about how to breath: use your diaphragm, breath low. not
helpful at all.

For the raspy voice try practicing to “scream” through your diaphragm. If
done properly screaming CANNOT damage your vocal chords. After a while it
will add grittiness to your voice. If it starts to hurt stop because if
done wrong you can do serious damage to your voice.
