  1. Love your tips.. see if you can find a channel named Edie Murphy. She is a new frie d that sings which she posted a video I did a little song with her.

Hi Katarina, these are very interesting tips.
I have always wanted to sing “Take On Me” by Ah-ha but can never quite hit those high notes in the chorus. It might be just the limits of my range, but hopefully with some regular practice and vocal exercises I may get there one day.

Thank you Katarina! Ten different tips, very valuable video!

Is there such a thing as breathing too much? I can get a nice big breath and nice support, but I feel like the strain is from inside my vocal chords, and pushing more air through doesn’t seem to help…

    1. You are right, too much air actually causes tension. Many people think that more air is better but it’s not true. It’s much more difficult to control larger amounts of breath (which can cause pressure on your vocal folds). Instead, just think about the sung phrase or the vocal task ahead and your body will know how much air you need for that phrase/task. So called “tanking up” does not do any good. Thanks for checking out my video!

Interesting point about knowing your limits… I think the most common one for me is singing too much or too frequently without giving my voice a proper break. Thanks for sharing these great tips! Cheers!
