Great song Ken. Just got the promo download of this. I gotta say though…
I hear Lou Gramm instead. then again… that’s still a very cool thing!!!

  2. Alejandro F. Castellanos

He man, could you please do a video of the song ‘say hello to heaven’ of
Temple of the Dog? I’m struggling with those high notes, I don’t find a way
    to develop that technique

STOP AND CONSIDER THIS: Most all singing programs out there show NO
SINGING. NONE. Only “talk” with “testimonials” making crazy claims about
their product. Yet NO ONE IS PROVING IT WITH ANY ACTUAL SINGING (and I mean
songs, not a scale or a note – but truly singing great). The coaches aren’t
singing, the students aren’t singing. Don’t you think that is strange?
Something worth thinking about on you singing quest. Ken Tamplin Vocal

  4. I like your version of Like a stone. I’m from Chile and I really want to
sing this. How i can get the lyrics? Don’t Worry, I’m not a singer, just a
    common person. Thanks.

  5. If you Could Do “So Far Away” By Avenged Sevenfold that would be amazing. I
Really want you to a video About M. Shadows. I would love to learn to sing
    like him

  7. man, you have an awesome voice! I’d like to take skype lessons with you
maybe, could that be possible even though I’m from Europe, not US?
communication is not a problem, I speak great English

  8. Ken, you have a seriously captivating voice. I love how you can emulate
these phenomenal vocalists’ tones so well, but you inject your own voice as
well, which has so many rich nuances of all of the greats in it. In the
first song on this video, I heard qualities akin to those of Brent Smith,
Dio, and Matthew Bellamy. Very cool to just listen to you do your thing! I
wasn’t even irked by the fact that this isn’t “Like A Stone”, you are great
    at whatever song this was!

had a listen to it, singing this song like you did is not at all easy, well
    done and it sounds cool.

Imho Cornell is less “smoky blues” in “Like A Stone”, it’s almost a clean
voice with a shade of belting or “edge” to it.

I am not sure that the terminology I use is making sense at all.

Also I think what makes Cornell my favourite grunge vocalist is his ability
to seemingly effortlessly swap between different voice modes: clean,
    screamy, distorted, smoky or whatever.

  12. Can you do a Scott Weiland one especially STP Core and Purple era like
wicked garden, crackerman, plush, dead and bloated and int.love song and
    Eddie Vedder pj Evenflow omg.

Great Vocals. When it comes to lyrics I say stop connecting the dots of
meaning. It limits the song. Write songs from the perspective that your
listener will get your meaning on their own or, better yet create their own
meaning. Write songs knowing that your listener does not want to be spoon
fed. This is Cornells gift. He would never shove the meaning of a song down
someone’s throat. I would rather hear vague lyrics with emotionally packed
right turns like Chris delivers. When he hits the first note of the chorus
of like a stone I have no clue what the hell the song is about. But I feel
like I am connected and he wrote it for me.

  14. TingleTheAssassin

You should try Eddie Vedder with Pearl Jam’s “Go” or with their song “Even
Flow”. I know you could definitely pull it off! :P

  15. Amazing! Always inspiring. Congrats from Brazil on your fantastic work.

Ken it would be great to watch you sing and comment on that Hall & Oates
song “Possession Obsession”. Oates had an awesome voice with a Motown vibe,
it’s a shame he got to lead only a few of their songs. Maybe you can also
sing some of the Daryl Hall ones like Kiss on My List, Out of Touch,
Maneater or I Can’t Go For That.

  16. Also consuming water in between breaks or scorching tea with honey will assist the throat whereas soothing any strain from singing lengthy hours.
