KTVA – Where The PROOF Is In The Singing

  1. Hey ken how can i sing with such a distortion? Im a 3octave singer but just
cant put the distortion n currently hurting my neck with meaningless
    screams and growls

  2. You did a whiny head voice sound in the chorus that lacks the substance
that Bruce Dickinson had in his performance. It’s a hard coordination
    though. Good try.

  3. Ken, I’ve made many comments on your videos and you know I enjoy them. On
this video it says “If I can’t show you how to do it, it can’t be done” You
also know I have asked several times for you to do a Rush tune and you have
never replied. Does this mean it can’t be done, except by Geddy Lee 🙂 Just
tell me man!…not that I don’t think you can’t do it, I would just like to
hear it because you are a great singer and I would like you to try one (or
more). Anything except for Working Man or Closer to the Heart, please!! 🙂
Examples….Fly By Night, Bastille Day, A Passage to Bangkok, The Spirit of
Radio, Tom Sawyer. No need to go past 1981 as your voice is good from
    anything from 1975-1981.

  4. I dunno, the chorus of Run to the Hills, sounds a lot more King Diamond
than Bruce. Bruce doesn’t do it in falsetto as much as you’re doing it
here, if memory serves me. He does the main vocal of the chorus in full
clean head voice, lots of power, and exaggerated vibrato.

I’d like to hear you singing like Klaus Meine. His voice is pretty much out
of heavy metal patterns and still the best (IMO of course). So, do you
    accept this chellenge? :D

  6. Hi Ken, sorry just a question….Why you raise up your shoulder when you
take breath? shouldn’t shoulders stay as much down and relaxed as possible?
    cheers ;)

  7. Holy crap at 2:29 as if it wasn’t tough enough already. Awesome, Ken, you
got this, the only person on YouTube I’ve seen do this song justice. I used
to cover it back in the 90’s and it is a monster, but for you no sweat.
Wish I had met you in my 20’s, dang….
