It took me a long time to embrace my rather ‘trumpety’ voice. For the longest time I avoided singing in my higher register because I thought it sounded too operatic or something. Now I just go with it. I don’t even try the bluesy thing, my voice just doesn’t do that at all. My upper register is definitely louder and stronger than my alto register, so I try to focus on songs that keep to the higher range, but I still love my alto songs, I’ll never abandon them completely.
Idc if I can sing better I’m just wanna sound like me bc noone else can
