    1. +Kevin Richards Rock the Stage NYC okay thank you, will do . I had another question, I have excess mucus and phlegm on my throat, how to get rid of it?

excess mucus and phlegm can be the result of many things – alone or combined. What you  eat, sinus problems, acid reflux. There’s no way to tell you what to do unless you know the cause of it.

    3. +Kevin Richards Rock the Stage NYC i see,so what kind of doctor should I go see? an ENT doctor or a Laryngologist?

    4. Kevin Richards RPM Vocal Studio

fahimmuchi I would see an ENT first to make sure it’s not a physical issue. they will then recommend the next step.

Yes. For that I WOULD recommend watching yourself in the mirror to make sure you are keeping your tongue still.

  1. I’m giving you a written “Thumbs up” because I can’t do it any other way…LOL! I appreciate the videos.

VIDEOHEREBOB I figured out the problem; it was a browser plug in I’ve been using to upload and track the clicks of my videos. i had some features turned off that i didn’t even know it had. All my future videos will have the ability

  2. I’ve seen many teachers saying that we should vocalize as much when singing compared to normal talking. What’s your opinion on this? I’ve been told many times that it creates tension in the throat.

Not sure what you mean by “vocalize as much when singing”. If you mean enunciate or articulate our mouths just like speaking when we sing – there is only one answer. It depends. Sometimes yes and sometimes no.

Phonetics are song dependent. Some songs may require you to “chew” on the words more and others you can get away with less. The only thing you don’t want to do it too little or too much. Too little and your words become mushy (think Nirvana) and if you do too much it sounds too mechanical or unnatural. Finding the right balance is up to your ears.
