  1. THANK YOU KAYLA!!!! I wanted to clap all the time!! You did amazingly well. I can’t believe that was all in one lesson! Thanks for sharing this with us. It was so insightful. You have a beautiful voice. Keep going 🙂

  2. Great job, Kayla!  You have a lovely voice! Learning both singing and playing the harp at the same time is not easy. You progressed wonderfully well. Keep up the good work. And thanks, Christy-Lyn, for your encouraging words as you coach Kayla.

  3. Bravo! Thank you Kayla! Oh my, very brave indeed. And great job. Christy-Lyn, what a great idea on multiple levels. Every teacher who considers teaching via Skype should show a demo of how they teach and what their style is – very helpful!

Wonderful work, Kayla! Thank you so much for sharing with us, I hope we will hear more of you!

Christy-Lyn, you are so warm and encouraging. What a gift to your hearers. 🙂 ~proverbs 16:24~

This is great! Does Kayla have a YouTube channel to show off her progress? I really liked the discussion you had about appreciating different voices. I have always written myself off as someone who didn’t have a singing voice, but now that I am learning harp, I am starting to wish I could sing. Your words were very encouraging.

  6. Thank you for sharing your lesson, Kayla! I loved hearing you sing. Your tone is lovely and you’re so expressive. You’re also wonderfully brave and I enjoyed seeing you improve right before my very eyes.

  7. THANK YOU KAYLA, that was so awesome ! When are you putting out your first cd? That was awonderful video and so encouraging. I want sooo much to learn Songbird, is there any possible way you can set the chords up like that for me so i can learn it and sing with it Christy-Lyn ? would absolutely love that.❤️ I want so much to learn songs because i have to sing but learning is really slow. Blessings to all of you xo karen Ware

It was heart warming to see Kayla’s face when she received a compliment and she really made a ton of progress in this lesson. Stick with singing and harping Kayla. This was very brave of you and you have a lovely voice. You both inspired me. 🙂

  9. Wow, I am so proud of Kayla for sharing her lesson! I hope she never doubts her singing again-what a beautiful voice. Really a stellar first lesson, especially knowing she is being recorded. I imagine she will make fantastic progress. Truly inspirational!!!

Christy-Lyn said in one of her You Tube videos that you are never too old to learn to play the harp. I am one of those people ( an older person) who ”always wanted to learn to play the harp.” When Christy- Lyn said this, I decided to take the leap and buy a harp! I just got my harp and am doing just one finger now. So this was soooo encouraging for me to see. It was very generous for Kayla to share her lesson with us. And very generous of Christy-lyn. I felt so enthusiastic for Kayla during her lesson and she does have a very beautiful tone in her voice. Thank you again for sharing this great lesson.
