3 Tips To Find Your Voice (For Singers) – Felicia Ricci / – Take my FREE 3-video belt singing course!
This video is all about how to find a singing voice that is uniquely “yours.” It offers my top 3 tips for doing so…some of which might surprise you!
1) Pay attention to the natural variation in “color” (or resonance, or tone) when you speak in the day-to-day. Become aware of all the variations that are possible, and what kind of emotional intention or context usually prompts them.
2) Start by imitating! This one might be a bit controversial, but even the seemingly most original singers had influences that turned to inspiration, that eventually led to their creating their own sound.
3) Don’t be afraid to be weird and look silly! Get rid of those blocks of what you’re “supposed” to sound like will allow you to experiment more freely, which will unlock tones you didn’t know were possible.

How to Sing “Chandelier” by Sia:
I just wanted to say. I have a problem with my voice going low and high.
And I need help.
thanks for the help I am very happy with my result ☺
I can make like 20 voices but cant while singing is it control or not the
right type of sound?
This was exactly what I’ve been needing. I’ve been in choir and show choir
and I’m pleased with how I sound when singing along with some of my
favorite songs, but as I am now finally learning an instrument I am finding
that it is difficult to find my true, original signing voice. I can’t thank
you enough for this video. It’s really inspiring and motivating. Thank you!
imitate zayn…. it’s like….. impossible lol
Would you be my music teacher? XDDDD
I’m not trying to be rude or sexist (I love your videos) but are these
inclusive to both genders? I mean, you are a great female vocalist teacher.
I am a guy and I know men amd women’s vocal cords are different. Just don’t
know. Thanks for all these vids!
hey idk if you will ever see this, but I just looked at this video. I was
hoping you could tell me a little more. I’m in girl in 8th grade with a low
voice, and I want to try to do the musical there going to have. my dad
keeps telling me I’m singing too high or too low of my comfort range. he
wants me to go in-between but…I don’t know how. so I just need help on
what exactly am I doing wrong or not doing at all. so idk were my own voice
is.
I think I an somehow out of tune even though I think I’m attentively
listening. How ti fix that?
you’re so adorable ☺☺
your very pretty
Well done, Fel.
I’m 38 singing for a long time but feel like I just found my voice. My
problem was that I was always trying to sound like an original recording of
the song or like one of my influences. What I’ve found now is this:
practice getting the pitch and the notes as they are written first and your
voice will come naturally. Felicia says if you try to sound polished right
away you are skipping important growth and she’s so right. Polishing is for
later. Don’t be afraid to look stupid and don’t be afraid to be a beginner
(with singing, with a new genre, with a new song, etc.). For me whenever I
am getting carried away and feeling like I am losing my own voice and
sound, I go back to the basics. Hit the note, slay that pitch and
everything else will come naturally.
felicia..ibreally love your channel.
I sound like a dying whale.
what if my voice gets deeper whenever I talk to anyone other than my
family?
Fel I honestly love your videos and I’ve learned a lot. But I also have to
let this out: am I the only one who got aroused when she was talking
acertive? Like get mad at me please hahaha I’m just joking but I love this
videos, thanks so much!
Thank you! I needed the exact help and here you are with all that I wanted.
Thank you! :)

like her real person😂so do I sound good or bad..?
How can I even Try to Scream like Chester Bennington ??
Hey fel

SMILEING AND SMILEING
THANKS
Have Fun With It!! Got it !! 😀 G
Thanks so much! I appreciate this! I hope to sing in the church choir one
day! So, thank you!!!
Hello Fel! First, thanks for these videos. They’re really helpful.
When I’m hitting a high note from a low note , I always cough before
hitting a high note and it’s like clearing my throat but I always hit that
high note when I cough but when I don’t cough before hitting that note, my
throat hurts but I still hit that high note. What do you think I would do?
How would my voice shifts from a very low note to a very high note without
clearing my throat or coughing? Thank you in advance if you answer my
problem. Love this channel.
the thing is, since i dont talk much, i even struggle with talking and my
throat hurts when i talk. and after awhile i start to sound like a
suffocating rooster! :/
You mentioned and questioned “what has been holding us back?” and my
response is I would always get told as a kid that I can’t sing and its been
my dream to do so, so now I’m older (I’m 21 now btw) I felt like I’ve found
my voice as a mesto-soprano but I’m not sure if its correct. I still get
how my choir instructor while I auditioned for as a soprano for an all
women’s choir back in high school but she said “no.” Now the more I work
hard and try and try I believe I am a mesto-soprano again I’m unsure of my
vocal range. and I believe that’s hold me back
You rule. Wish you were my singing teacher at school!
Hi Fel!! Thank so much!! Great advice and tips!!
Thank you
Fantastic advice ..fantastic voice well done :))
I still can’t sing
I’m inspired by Justin Bieber ✌️️😬
