  4. Aben Moon says:

Yeah.. Absolutely agree that black peoples sing soooo better and full of soul 🙌🏻

  5. Adrian Bauer says:

Black people sing so good because they have too much time!

  6. church is the reason. I like the sound but I feel like as a non black person, it would seem inauthentic, the gospel sound.

  7. 김용손 says:

This was the question I had when I was 8

  8. Super Loud Ninja - SO MUCH RAGE says:

Research African American skull structure and resonant cavities. This is why most can tell just by listening to someones voice, that they are of African descent.

  9. Lolita Johnson says:

Israelites (“African” Americans and other black people involuntarily dispersed around the earth) are not African. We fled into Africa and remained to avoid persecution when our homeland (Israel) was invaded.
That being said, we sing amazingly because we are the chosen people of Yah and He has interwoven a certain blessing in our beings; to the point that whatever it is (singing, dancing, athletics, academics, whatever), it can be done no better, by a human.
now, we (as a whole) need to repent so Yah can gather us and turn our captivity (as a whole).

  10. Sylvia Carlson says:

I believe singing gospel in the church is very prevalent in the Black community.  If you look at really good Black singers, they started in the church.  Plus, Black people were persecuted and this is what they did to survive………church and music.

  11. Apostolic, yes! One Lord, One Faith and One Baptism. 👍👍👍

  12. Holy Spirit love says:

I heard an Italian dude say THEY can all sing meaning black people..

  13. Black peoples voices are a little deeper thus giving a soul sound. A perfect example of how a deeper voice gives soul is Adele. Her voice is thick and she sings soul very well. Like Whitney Huston. But an example of a lighter voice would be Celine dion. Her voice isn’t soul, it’s more spiritual like European cathedrals used to sing. Am I making sense? Haha

  14. Billy McAuliffe says:

that’s all bullshit a lot of black people can’t sing and when they do they warbile like a broken record !!!

  15. Ashley Lee says:

Girl country singers dont got nothing on black soul or gospel singers. None of them could touch James Brown, Aretha, Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Kim Burrell, Fantasia, Leandria Johnson, Karen Clark, Lashun Pace, KeKe Wyatt, etcc. Name some that can? Exactly! And Blacks are the only ones who can Naturally sing good and soulful. The good singing whites, asians, and indians had time to Study black singers. History shows that they were never born singing soulful. Elvis Studied the Black gospel singers, Adele studied Ella Fitzgerald, The beach boys studied Chuck Berry, Christina Aguilera studied Etta James, Kelly Clarkson studied Aretha Franklin. In other words, there would be no good and soulful singers of other races if it were not for BLACK People.

  16. Todd Levy says:

what’s the name of the song played at the end?

  17. Andrew Lucero Jr. says:

do the words hold steady mean anything to black singers? or is vibrato their only range??

  18. saltwatertaffy says:

I’m black, and I can verify that I can’t sing worth Jack (or Jill for that matter). You could put a handle on a tune, and I still wouldn’t be able to carry it. Btw, I can’t dance either. Oh, woe is me! 🙂

  19. Sparky Pineapple says:

black people have lower voices 😀 they sound always good 😀 sometimes it’s ridiculous to see white man with higher voice than black woman (i say about speaking voice), when it comes to singing black people sound more powerful and ‘full’ (don’t know how to describe it). Think the reason is different body type

  20. Kiki Learns Languages says:

The singing stereotype is more black American. While dancing is applied to all black people around the world I’m black American but not all of us are Christian. I can sing but wasn’t raised in the church. This white guy said “Yeah, all black people can sing they learn it in church”. I do feel that the soulful tones come from slave hymns which have Christian ties.

  21. The Bougie Wine Chick says:

perhaps the style that blacks tend to sing is viewed as more appealing across cultural boundaries than other styles

  22. Demar McLove says:

Why you mention Country as though it’s just a White thing?

  23. Çɑʍɾҽŋ Śʍɨtɧ says:

me being Haitian, Creole-French and coming from a singing family, I’ve noticed that us blacks’ vibrato is a sort of “natural” vibrato, but Caucasians’ vibrato seems kind of forced or intentional! Is that true??

  24. HARLEM BASEBALL HITTING ACADEMY says:

LOL, COUNTRY SINGERS HAVE AS MUCH SOUL AS BLK PEOPLE,
THE REASON THAT THE BLK VOICE IS THE GREATEST VOICE THAT HAS EVER BEEN CREATED IS SIMPLY 3 REASONS

1 WE ARE RHYTHM PEOPLE.AFRICAN PEOPLE MEANING WE SING WITH THE BEAT, MEANING THAT GIVES YOU FLEXIBILITY IN THE APPROACH OF THE SONG.
WHETHER BLUES OR JAZZ,ROCK OR SOUL. ITS ABOUT THE SINGING ON THE BEAT
WHICH WHITE PEOPLE DONT BECAUSE THEY COME FROM A TRADITION OF CLASSICAL WHICH IS MORE MELODIC AND REALLY HAS NO 2/4 OR SWING 4 OR WHAT EVER.

2.BLACK VOICES ARE MORE FLEXIBLE THAN ANY OTHER VOICE,
BECAUSE OF OUR CONSTANT REINVENTION OF MUSIC. WE ARE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO GROW AND TEST THE HUMAN VOICE.
WE HAVE GIVEN THE WORLD ALL OF ITS MUSIC OUTSIDE OF THE CLASSICAL REALM

LETS GO BACK TO AFRICA AND RHYTHM
FIRST ITS THE BLUES WITH BETSY SMITH AND MAE RAINY AND ETHEL WATERS, BIG MAMA THORTON
OUT OF THAT CAME GOSPEL. WHICH WE WILL GO FARTHER IN
GOSPEL COMES OUT OF THE STRUGGLES OF THE BLK FOLK, SO YOU HEAR THE MOANING AND SINGING OF A DAY OF FREEDOM FROM PEOPLE WHO WERE NOT FREE.
OUT OF THIS COMES MAHALIA JACKSON, WHO IS HEARING ALL THESE RHYTHMIC SOUNDS IN NEW ORLEANS
SISTER ROSETA THROP,WHO HEARS THOSE SOUNDS IN TENNESSEE

THEN OUT OF THAT COME JAZZ AND LOUIS ARMSTRONG ONCE AGAIN ITS COMING FROM RHYTHMIC PEOPLE, THE BEAT THE DRUM THE AFRICAN.
THE BRILLIANCE OF COLTRANE,MONK, MILES DAVIS,LESTER YOUNG ALL PLAYING BLUES INSPIRED NOTES.

FROM THIS YOU GET BILLIE HOLIDAY AND SARAH VAUGHN AND ELLA AND CARMEN McCRAE etc, all influenced by the BLUES AND EXPANDING ON IT

THEN THE MUSIC GOT FAST AND MORE RHYTHMIC AS BEBOP CAME IN, WHICH IS THAT DAYS FUNK MUSIC
AND YOU GET THE IMPROVISATION OF SCAT SINGING OF THE BEAT THE FOUNDATION OF RHYTHMIC PEOPLE.
THEN COMES THEN COMES ROCK WHICH IS CREATED BY BO DIDLEY FAT DOMINO, ONCE AGAIN NEW ORLEANS GUYS, HANK BALLARD AND CHUCK BERRY
BUT ITS THE KID FROM MACON Ga THAT GIVES IT ,ITS RHYTHM AND BRINGS THE GOSPEL CHORDS AND CHANGES HIS NAME LITTLE RICHARD

OUT OF THIS COMES SOUL MUSIC, WHERE SAM COOK,ETTA JAMES,GLADYS KNIGHT,PATTI LABELLE,DIONNE WARWICK,OTIS REDDING AND THE GREATEST SINGER WHO HAS EVER LIVED ARETHA FRANKLIN COME OUT OF.

3, THE REASON WHY BLACK FOLKS, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT AFRICAN, NOT SOMEONE WHOSE ON THIS I AM BRITISH JAMAICAN B.S, BECAUSE IF YOU RE FROM THE ISLAND YOU HEAR THE SOUL AND BLUES IN MARLEY, OR TOSH, OR BUNNY OR RITA, OR PETER TOSH, THEY ARE STR8 UP PLAYING BLUES CHORDS THOSE A FLATS WHICH GIVES YOU THAT BOTTOM AND THAT FUNK AND SOUL..

I MEAN YOU ARE BRITISH WHO ARE THE BLK VOICES COMING OUT OF THERE BESIDES THE GREAT SHIRLEY BASSY WHO IS NOT A GOSPEL OR SOUL SINGER.

THE MAIN REASON BLK PEOPLE ARE BETTER SINGERS IS BECAUSE OF THE BLK CHURCH WHERE ALL THE GREATEST SINGERS COME FROM
THERE YOU DONT PLAY, THATS WHERE WE HEAR THE RUNS AND RIFFS OF DONNY HATHAWAY OR THE GUT BUCKET SINGING OF ARETHA OR PATTI OR SOLOMAN BURKE OR SAM AND DAVE,TINA TURNER
THE BLACK CHURCH IS THE BEST TRAINING FOR AND HOW TO SING AND WHAT IS PITCH AND WHAT IS IN TUNE OUT OF TUNE.

IF YOU LOOK AT BACKGROUND SINGERS FROM THE LAST 50 YEARS 80% OF THEM ARE DONE WITH THAT NEED OF THOSE GOSPEL VOICES, THAT BLEND IS ONLY WHAT YOU CAN GET OUT OF A BLK CHURCH.

ARE THERE GOOD WHITE SINGERS OF COURSE
BUT IF YOU PUT AN ADELE ONSTAGE WITH A SANGING SISTER WE KNOW THE OUTCOME, THATS WHY THE UNWRITTEN RULES WAS THAT WHITE ARTIST DIDN’T SING WITH BLK ARTIST BECAUSE THEY GET THEIR ASSES HANDED TO THEM.

THE WHITE SINGER CAN MIMIC, BUT THE BLK VOICE CAN AND DOES MORE ITS THE LIFE WITHIN THE NOTES THAT MAKE BLK SINGERS BETTER SINGERS,

AND ITS THE CHURCH WHICH IS THE FOUNDATION FOR ALL NON CLASSICAL MUSIC THAT HAS COME TO THE WORLD IN THE LAST 150 YEARS
AS LONG AS THERE IS A BLK CHURCH, THE BLK VOICE WILL ALWAYS BE THE BEST VOICES.
THE BLACK VOICES CHANGES MUSIC IT CAME WITH THE DRUM

  25. Destiney Hopkins says:

thank you. its not about color its more about culture and if you practice and how much you practice and if you can sing. it is very learnable.

  26. zack stone says:

How do you know there is not a genetic component to your tone that could be relative to being black??

  27. Abdullah Mir says:

blacks and Filipinos sing sooo well

  28. Magenta Rose says:

  29. Jeanette Steinbach says:

You look like missy elliott 😊

  30. Levell Williams says:

You could have kept it simple by saying Black people have a thing called Soul. There are different types of Soul, but it’s comes from God, the black church and gospel music in America is like none other.

  31. Singer N-haance says:

  32. press 6 and listen for four seconds
