Vocal Resonance for Beginners / Free Singing Lessons / Pharyngeal

In this episode, master vocal coach Kevin Richards shows you a way to create a clear and resonant singing voice. Allowing the voice to “ring” is essential to help it grow, build range and flexibility. If people have trouble understanding you, it might just be a lack of resonance.

  1. Great work Kevin! I have an opinion about the lead singers in one of my
favourite groups Toto. I´m talking about Bobby Kimball 1977-84, Fergie
Fredricksen 1984-85, Joseph Williams 1986-88,89. I know that both Kimball
and Williams have sanged in Toto after this but this was their main periods
of singing in the band. Tecnically I think Fergie was the best, not because
he sanged the highest notes but because I feel that he never ever pushed
his voice to reach the high notes. I feel that he always maintained a
resistance of air in the high range which to me is the reason that he still
    can sing like this.
