I love watching you coach the sound out of her! This is pretty epic. More
epic then singing AC/DC or Audioslave…no question. Great Job Sara!

  2. GaryGuevara says:

That’s a great point you make there Ken about the contrast in Aretha’s
    voice/technique from earlier in her career to how it developed later on;
the whole thing is a continuous, ongoing, never ending work in progress,
even when it reaches the level of virtuoso. And Sara you have a wonderful
smokey, soulful tone; I would love to see you live.

  3. WonderWomansBeauty says:

I just want to say I really love you, I really need to take lessions, my
voice is deep like Toni Braxton and Cher and some what Beyonce. I will love
    to make my voice stronger!

  4. Dale Bendixen says:

Hey Ken I am trying to understand the breathe support you talk about in
your video series volume 1,,, am i supposed to breathe out as i sing?, or
    hold onto the breath?

  5. Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy says:

when you take your breath your stomach will protrude, when you sing your
scale or phrase you will push down while relaxing the upper body… then
totally release between scales or phrases to give you the diaphragmatic
strength needed to do the next one

  6. Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy says:

I have many students that have don’t consider themselves as singers. on’t
buy my course to make you a great singer. Buy my course because you have
the tencity and deisre to sing well and it will help you

  7. Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy says:

There are thousands of vocal coaches who all claim to have “the answer” to
great singing. Yet virtually NONE of them can prove it with their own
voice. Who is B.S.? Who really has the answers? From my perspective, I
would go to the guy that can ACTUALLY show me how to do it. Not B.S. me
into a bunch of expensive – worthless vocal lessons. I hope these videos
encourage other vocal coaches to put their voice where their mouth is and
    PROVE IT… I AM.

Aretha: whoa oh oh oh! Ken: whoa oh oh oh! Sara: Whoa oh oh oh! whoa… lol

I just ordered your vocal package. I’m a professional singer and I must
tell you that your teaching method is the best I have ever encountered!!!
You can do it all: soul, classic, pop, jazz…and your explanations ae
    fabulous!! Brilliant!!!!!!

  11. Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy says:

    Thanks Priscamolotsi :-)

  12. Frank Albarran says:

KEN U BUSTED MY EARS. I AM SUING U, JUST KIDDING.

  13. Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy says:

I’m not sure of your starting point as a frame of reference.

  14. hey Sara love your voice. I am now like you were, sorta a good karaoke
singer. I’m doing Ken’s program (love his energy by the way, and well,
singing too of course). Got a decent day job, but I want to sing
professionally. Do you find you do OK with that alone for a living? keep up
the good work you’re gonna be a star

  15. davidj1210 says:

Ken could you please do a video on how to sing like classic jazz singer
SARAH VAUGHAN!!! Her voice was seamless and intense throughout her entire
range. I want to sing like that.

  16. Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy says:

yeah she would be a good person to do one on. I will try to get to that
    soon

  17. Hey Ken, new subscriber and so far I’m a big fan! Any thoughts on a singer
like Adam Lambert? I saw your vid on Bruno Mars, but wondering what you
    think of Adam’s high mix.

  18. Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy says:

Check out my Youtube “How to sing like Adam Lambert”

  19. Yikes, sorry I didn’t see that! Will watch– thanks!

  20. teddy Colision says:

i want to sing aretha so badly

  21. Trevor Wong says:

Hi Ken, I think I am a low baritone. I can belt up to f4 or #f4. If I use
your method, what is the highest chesty note that I can hit? Would I get a
satisfactory result by just following your CDs and DVDs? Thank u!

  22. Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy says:

Without hearing your voice I can’t say for sure. I too am a high bari and
my highest note used to be F#4 (I once in a while could squeeze out an A4
however over the years I have stretched my belting register over an octave
above that. You are welcome to sedn me a sample of your singing to
ktvainfo@gmail.com for a vocal evaluation. Remind me you want a range
    register eval

  23. Shoulder Throw 140 says:

10:12 RIP Headphone users… you don’t see that kind of power in an SLS
    video!

  24. Ryan Gillis says:

Speaking of the great ladies of song, are you planning on doing a
    how-to-sing-like Judy Garland video?

  25. MortemDomine says:

I’d love a jazz one too!! 🙂 maybe ella fitzgerald?

  26. Joann Byrd says:

Aretha knows how to hoop. You learn it as a child in church.

  27. Ken Tamplin Vocal Academy says:

STOP AND CONSIDER THIS: Most all singing programs out there show NO
SINGING. NONE. Only “talk” with “testimonials” making crazy claims about
their product. Yet NO ONE IS PROVING IT WITH ANY ACTUAL SINGING (and I mean
songs, not a scale or a note – but truly singing great). The coaches aren’t
singing, the students aren’t singing. Don’t you think that is strange?
Something worth thinking about on you singing quest. Ken Tamplin Vocal
