4 : ‘Sangeetacharya’ Dr. Vyzarsu Balasubrahmanyam, armed with two Doctoral Degrees in Music, is highly acclaimed, nationally and internationally as an eminent Musician, Musicologist, Composer and a Guru who has been making commendable contribution to various facets of music. Having done extensive research on the life and contribution of several lesser known Composers of Carnatic Music, he has pioneered and documented them in a unique feature, which he has hosted through a programme titled ‘Ajnatha Vaggeyakarulu’ on Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel (TTD). He has been honoured with the assignment of Composing Music for the songs of Annamacharya by S.V. Recording Project, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

He is the Founder-Director of ‘Bhairavi Sangeeta Academy’ (Centre for Training and Research in Music) at Hyderabad and the Publisher and Chief Editor of ‘PRANAVAM’, a bilingual (English and Telugu) quarterly music magazine. He is a graded artiste of AIR and Doordarshan and is the recipient of Senior Research Fellowship, Junior Research Fellowship and also the Young Talent Merit Scholarship awarded by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. Apart from several music eminence awards, he has been awarded titles like ‘Swara Pani’, ‘Sangeeta Seva Nirata’, ‘Sangeeta Vidya Danakarna’ and honoured as ‘Asthana Vidwan’ of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetham.
