In this video I answer another question… This subscriber is concerned about whether or not they’re singing a song that’s too difficult for them, so I want to address this in a way that quickly touches on how to sing the right way.
There are so many artist that have had vocal issues or vocal damage that has caused them to cancel shows on their tour, or their entire tour, and this is something that can be prevented.
If after singing you’re voice is fatigued or hoarse the next day, then you know you’re not singing the proper way. Also, if you’re beginning to lose some of your vocal range, then you’re also probably singing the wrong way.
One of the main things about proper singing technique, is that you’re not pushing to get the notes! You should be releasing to reach your higher notes, and it should feel effortless when you sing. Singing should never feel difficult or forced.
