  1. after the second verse who sings is glenn tilbrook, he sings with a little
different technique, but the paul carrack was fantastic

  2. STOP AND CONSIDER THIS: Most all singing programs out there show NO
SINGING. NONE. Only “talk” with “testimonials” making crazy claims about
their product. Yet NO ONE IS PROVING IT WITH ANY ACTUAL SINGING (and I mean
songs, not a scale or a note – but truly singing great). The coaches aren’t
singing, the students aren’t singing. Don’t you think that is strange?
Something worth thinking about on you singing quest. Ken Tamplin Vocal

  4. Would you recommend this style of singing for someone who’s early on in
their singing training? I’m just getting used to keeping my larynx down and
therefore worried singing like Paul Carrick might undo the work I’ve done!
Really appreciate your advice on this. Thx.

  5. Paul Carrack has one of the best soulfull “white boy” voices ever recorded!
I would LOVE to seee him and Michael McDonald do a song together! Two peas
    in a great musical pod!

PS. No one should forget PC is a wonderfull multi-instrumentalist. The guy
    can play just about anything.

  7. One gift I always wish I’d had was to have such a wonderful singing voice,
a voice so magical that the whole world would want to stop and listen to
me. However, the reality is, I couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket! :D

  8. Okay, help ME out here! Aren’t the lyrics “Tempted by the fruit of
ANOTHER?” It sounds as if you’re singing “ELEVEN” or “AN OVEN.” What are
    you saying/singing?

    P.S. I like your vids!

  9. LOVE Paul Carrack! Don’t Shed a Tear is one of my favorites. Would love
to hear you do Eyes of Blue. That is a GREAT song.

  10. Hey Ken, My vocals are most naturally similar to Paul’s and I’m wondering
what sort of vocal processing (delay, doubling, reverb…so on) are
appropriate for Paul’s vocal style/ or maybe at least what he’s using. I
was thinking specifically about the keys close to “How Long” by Ace. any
    thoughts?

  11. Good tutorial! Mr. Carrack has been one of my all time favorite singers. I
always get fumbled singing this song with the verses”I’m at the car park
the airport the baggage caurasel” “And people keep on crowding” etc etc
because those verses are sung by Glen Tillbrook and the other Squeeze band
member and their voices are a different pitch.
