This one is for my jazz singers out there. Scatting is a huge part of singing jazz and is a fantastic tool for all singers to learn, regardless of the style of music you sing.

  3. Is it possible that maybe in other genres the syllables change? I’ve heard
    Etta James, for example, using ra (with a strong, Spanish R) and pa on a
    Something’s Gotta Hold On Me live

    videos… I did find the video “how to easily add scat to your songs in a
    cool way”… I’ll go for that one next. But if you can add the lesson 2 it

  5. Terrific. I used to sing was never great. However, singing made me happy. I
    am 66 just lost a 10 year job, have gone back to school to be able to gain
    employment in my final years. So glad I found your site. It will help me to
    “put on a happy face”. Glad I at least remember the joy of singing. No
    tools required. Thank you.
