  1. Awesome!! This is totally how I would like to sound too especially on that C5 and phrase “didn’t have to go.” I’ve been working diligently with your program but either get stuck at a low or too high intensity. It’s really tough to try to find that comfortable middle ground.

  2. That is a totally wicked song! I loved it! Loved the way yor sang it!:)
I subbed and am slowly working my way through your vids:)
What is the size of your recording space? Is it a whole room and do you have any kind of “soundproofing” in it? Have you made a video showing your recording “set up?” Have you made one showing and talking about the “equipment” in the room? If not, would you make one? I woud love to see it and learn from it! 🙂
Does your program work for females too?
    Thanks:)
    BOP

  3. @BirdOfParadise777 thank you and yes I have quite a few female students. My programs include both dude and diva workouts that are gender specific

  4. Holy shit, fantastic job! You even got a bit of his tone during the beginning there. Personally, as a high baritone, I find Gramm’s music to be some of the hardest ever to sing. His singing back in his prime was SO effortless and easy, what a fantastic tenor voice he had.

  5. this may sound a little cheeky, but it would be awesome if you gave us a “how to sing like freddie mercury” video… love your vids ken!! awesome!!

  6. @cyndiek What I wouldn’t do to learn vocal technique from him. I’m a huge fan with a similar kind of voice. The man is amazing. A singer’s singer.

  7. Is there any chance we could see a video on how to sing on more of a pop-punk front, such as Green Day, Blink-182, All Time Low? That would help me so much for how to find a balance between deep and high, as I naturally have a deep voice. Please and thank you. 🙂

  8. what song is this? sorry..my english is bad..
    I really want to know..plz…
this is really beautiful song I think..and ken tamplin has a beautiful voice..ㅠ_ㅠ

  9. Really appreciate sir!! it’s so lovely song..♡
I’m your huge fan…!! there is so many people who loves your vocal lesson in Korea
Korean students loves you Ken!! ^__________^

  10. wow, just a wonderful song, loved the lyrics, the music, and the singing!!!
i am so glad i purchased your program, can’t wait to send you something in the future so you can see a kind of before and after…
Ken Tamplin is a great singer and teacher, explains it all very simply and easy to understand

  11. There are thousands of vocal coaches who all claim to have “the answer” to great singing. Yet virtually NONE of them can prove it with their own voice. Who is B.S.? Who really has the answers? From my perspective, I would go to the guy that can ACTUALLY show me how to do it. Not B.S. me into a bunch of expensive – worthless vocal lessons. I hope these videos encourage other vocal coaches to put their voice where their mouth is and PROVE IT… I AM.

  12. If you go to my YouTube channel, there is a “How to Sing” video on 80’s rock. Also, check out my website at kentamplinvocalacademy(dot)com to join the academy. Look under singing lessons.

  13. I will admit that it was Lou Gramm’s name that caught my eye but..wow..this is a very impressive song and performance! I have tried for 35 YEARS to sing ‘like Lou Gramm”…umm..and failed miserably.I can get through one song without my voice cracking. My musician friends tell me I am just not a ‘tenor’..so maybe I should lower the key I try to sing it in.. but..to me..that’s ‘cheating”.If I continue to push..(my voice) can my range increase??

  14. Hi Ken,

    Your samples sound great!
But it looks like you are straining your neck, etc. on most of the songs-just what the other coaches say is the wrong technique. Yet I am guessing you have good endurance and can you sing like this for hours without serious downgrade in quality?
And does singing more and more time per day keep increasing vocal endurance?

  15. Ask these coaches to reproduce this kind of sound. They can’t because they can’t sing. They stand in their ivory towers telling you not to do it and yet they can’t prove what they are saying with their own voices. Singing is NOT the absence of stress. Great singing is the MANAGEMENT of stress.

  16. Excellent – you should coach the tribute band singers – some are very good – but need this fine-tuning – classic rock tribute – done right – is an art-form.

  17. This demo is Ken Tamplin singing a song that he wrote, and he’s singing it in the style of Lou Gramm of Foreigner.  Ken’s singing lessons can teach you to sing in this style of vocals with the smokey, woodsey sound that Lou Gramm is known for.  You can find out more about the world’s Best singing lessons at
