I think this was actually helpful. I don’t like to sing many pop stuff but regardless I like the tips you gave here.

  2. I find the tips you give on here interesting and frequently very accurate, yet I’ve never heard you support any higher than an F or so..

  3. me: *tries to do a melisma, chords combust, throat catches fire, disposes self in hazard receptacle*

can you do a video on melismas? :p

This is really helpful and I know this is for pop singing, but I’d love if you show us how to build the bright sound with an open vowel, the way soul singers do it.

What do you mean by dark sound, open please? Is there any video prior and associated to this one. Also, do you believe in mixed voice?
    I’m binge-watching all of your videos 🙂

  7. I LOVE this video. Basically, you need the darker sound to balance the bright and ensure that there is still depth in it. That is how you get a nice, commercial tone 🙂

  8. Andrew DiMarzo says:

So long as people understand their voices well enough to accurately interpret this video, this tip is fucking awesome man.

  9. Paul Thoresen says:

I heard that if you go too dark you can never go bark
